Tractor Operator

Operate farm-type gasoline or diesel powered tractors and attached towed equipment on flat or rolling terrain and in areas such as open fields, between trees, and along roadways in performing a variety of operations including planting, cultivating, harvesting, mowing, and hauling. The equipment requires multiple connections and adjustments. Operate auxiliary equipment and attachments such as cutter bars, plows, harrows, sprayers, discs, front end loaders, moveable dozer blades, and backhoes. Service, check, and fuel tractors and equipment to be used before operation. Perform daily preventative maintenance and make repairs and adjustments to tractors and equipment. Maintain public use facilities and shop grounds, paint, sign posting, fence building, brush clearing with chain saw and hand tools. Apply pesticides to control noxious terrestrial and aquatic weeds from boat mounted spray rigs, ATV mounted stray rigs, backpack sprayers. Measure out quantities of pesticides according to the label and sprays in designated areas according to supervisor instructions. Must obtain and retain required certifications.
