Fiscal Program Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Select, train, motivate and evaluate clerical personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures.
Monitor, coordinate and control administrative costs to closed-end State funding allocations.
Analyze various time and cost options; prepare fiscal recommendations in conjunction with program operations.
Assist in the preparation of grant applications; monitor fiscal conditions.
Prepare various analytical reports of expenditures and statistical trends.
Review and maintain accounting and fiscal record systems, procedures, and reporting requirements.
Recommend, coordinate, and report impact of fiscal and program operations in regards to policy and program changes.
Participate in the development of departmental policies and procedures relative to fiscal management.
Act as liaison, and coordinate work efforts with various County departments in relation to fiscal programs.
Maintain close and cooperative relationships with various agencies.
Prepare State and/or program budgets; prepare revisions as required; justify requests for funding of various programs.
Prepare and monitor County budgets; substantiate budget requests; project estimated revenues.
Manage an office computer system; train staff in various programs.
Attend various meetings as required.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
?Two years of accounting experience preferably in cost accounting and tracking.
Two years of college with course work in accounting. The successful applicant will be required to provide a copy of unofficial college transcripts verifying education.

The applications will be used to select the best qualified applicant to participate in the selection process. A qualifications appraisal interview will be used to assess the candidate's knowledge, skills, and training experience. The Department Head will make the final selection and appointment.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
