Colusa County Office of Education is recruiting for a Paraeducator who can assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individuals or groups of students in an assigned Special Education program, monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance, and perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the instructional program. STARTING DATE: August 2018CURRENT ASSIGNMENT LOCATION:To Be DeterminedSALARY:$14.22 - $17.31 per hour HOURS/DAYS: Hours vary per day, 181 days per yearBENEFITS:Paid vacation and sick leave; CalPERS retirement EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year of experience working with children in an organized setting.Meet No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Highly Qualified requirementsLICENSES & REQUIREMENTS:NCLB verification by either AA degree or higher or 48 semester units with 3 units each in English & Math or passing score on the paraeducator assessment test (CODESP test dates posted at www.ccoe.net)Basic First Aid and valid CPR certificate The successful candidate will be required to provide DOJ and FBI fingerprints clearance, TB test clearance, and a valid California driver's license following acceptance of job offer. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
